World Cup qualification: Switzerland and Denmark start successfully

The national teams of Switzerland and Denmark have successfully started their World Cup qualification. The Swiss won 3: 1 (3: 0) in Bulgaria after a lightning start, while the 1992 European champions won 2: 0 (1: 0) in Israel.

In Sofia, Breel Embolo from Gladbach (7th), Haris Seferovic (10th) and Steven Zuber (13th) from Frankfurt quickly made everything clear for Switzerland with six Bundesliga professionals in the starting eleven. The favorite in Group C is the four-time world champion Italy, who will play against Northern Ireland at the start (8.45 p.m.).

Denmark with Bundesliga professionals Thomas Delaney and Yussuf Poulsen prevailed in Tel Aviv in front of 5000 spectators thanks to goals from Martin Braithwaite (13th) and Jonas Wind (67th). In Israel, Munas Dabbur from Hoffenheim was in the starting line-up. In Group F, Scotland will also play against Austria in the evening (8.45 p.m.).
