Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain know their opponents for the round of 16 of the Women’s Champions League. In the draw on Tuesday, the Lyonnaises fell against the Danes of Brøndby. The Parisians will face the Czechs from Sparta Prague. The big shock to be expected is for Atletico Madrid who are opposed to Chelsea.
The Lyonnaises, five-time reigning European champions, will face the Danes of Brøndby in the round of 16 of the Champions League in March, according to the draw made on Tuesday. The Parisians will face the Czechs from Sparta Prague.
The OL players, big favorites, will play the first leg against Brøndby at home on March 3 or 4, before a trip scheduled for March 10 or 11 for the return leg. Conversely, the PSG girls will go first to Prague before receiving their opponents.
The draw at UEFA headquarters on Tuesday behind closed doors resulted in a clash between Pauline Peyraud-Magnin’s Atlético Madrid and the ambitious English Chelsea, worn by Pernille Harder. The first leg will be played in London.
The Germans from Wolfsburg, unfortunate finalists in the “Final-8” contested last summer in the Spanish Basque country, will host the Norwegians from LSK Kvinner in the first leg. The Austrians from St. Pölten, the only team to survive qualifying, will face the Swedes from Rosengård. The final of the 2021 edition is scheduled for May 16 in Gothenburg (Sweden).
