Since his transfer of millions from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig in winter, Dominik Szoboszlai has not played a single second for his new club. Now the midfielder is working on his comeback.
As the dpa reports, Dominik Szoboszlai’s stubborn adductor problems are steadily improving. Participation in team training is not yet an option.
The 20 million euro kicker trained with the ball on Wednesday for the first time since January. Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann did not want to give a forecast as to when the Hungarian could be back on the field.
The 20-year-old is said to have played with painkillers in Salzburg and thus dragged severe adductor problems with him to Leipzig. Now it should even be open whether Szoboszlai can take part in the European championship with Hungary in the summer.
Before moving to Leipzig, Szoboszlai played 22 games for Salzburg in all competitions and collected 20 scorer points. He was last used on December 20 of the previous year against the WAC.
