Victory over Southampton: Leicester in the FA Cup final for the first time since 1969

Leicester City has reached the FA Cup final for the first time since 1969. The 2016 champions won the semifinals against league rivals FC Southampton with coach Ralph Hasenhüttl 1-0 (0-0).

Kelechi Iheanacho (55th) scored the goal of the day in front of 4000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

The opponent in the final on May 15 is Chelsea FC with team manager Thomas Tuchel, who won 1-0 (0-0) against the designated English soccer champions Manchester City on Saturday. 21,000 spectators are to be admitted to the final.

Leicester has lost all previous FA Cup finals in club history (1949, 1961, 1963 and 1969).
