For Dennis Geiger from TSG Hoffenheim, the season ended in February. As the Bundesliga team announced on Tuesday, the midfielder has to undergo surgery because of a stubborn muscle-tendon injury in his thigh, contrary to the original forecast.
The 22-year-old will not return before the end of the season. Defender Konstantinos Stafylidis (27), who returned to team training after a serious shoulder injury, is injured again.
The Greek suffered a fractured tibia head and will be absent for several weeks according to TSG.
