Super League out: Serie A examines consequences for Milan club bosses

The failed plan for a European Super League could have consequences in Italy.

The Serie A clubs are examining a motion of censure against the representatives of the clubs AC Milan (President Paolo Scaroni) and Inter Milan (Managing Director Giuseppe Marotta), who sit on the Serie A board.

“Why didn’t they report their plans? Something like that must never happen again,” said Fiorentina boss Rocco Commisso, who accused Scaroni and Marotta of disloyal behavior.

The Italian Football Association, on the other hand, does not want to punish Juventus Turin and the Milanese clubs for plans to establish a European Super League. “There will be no trial, no condemnation or revenge actions,” assured association boss Gabriele Gravina.
