Juventus Turin coach Andrea Pirlo has expressed support for the creation of the Super League.
While Andrea Agnelli, leader of Juventus Turin, is one of the major players in the creation of the Super League, the emblematic coach of the old lady has gone in the direction of its president. “It’s a development for football”, said Andrea Pirlo at a press conference on Tuesday, April 20. “There have been a lot of changes this year, the Champions League has changed, the way of playing has changed, the rules have changed. It’s a novelty, I am not in the best position to detail. We are confident, we have an avant-garde president (…) he would explain the details to you better than I ” he added.
The former captain of Juve still wanted to temper his remarks by explaining: “we are focused on our current goals ”, while this Super League, if it sees the light of day, could begin at the start of the 2021 school year. “It’s only a project, our present is to aim for the Champions League” he added.
The Bianconeri are currently sailing in fourth and last qualifying Serie A place for the C1. “The president came to talk to us about the project this morning. We know that our president is on the front line, one of the actors of this project, but we have to think of the present ” he concluded.
