Serie A: Milan fail at Lazio – Demme and Napoli pull past

AC Milan suffered a nasty setback in the fight for the first Champions League qualification in eight years. The Rossoneri lost 3-0 (0-1) at Lazio Rome on Monday evening and fell back to fifth place in the table.

The SSC Napoli with the former German national player Diego Demme climbed to third place with a 2-0 (2-0) at FC Turin.

Behind the sovereign leader Inter Milan (79 points) things are very close in the top group of Serie A. Atalanta Bergamo with national player Robin Gosens (68) is second, followed by Napoli, Juventus and Milan each with 66 points.

Against the Rossoneri, who last played in the premier class in 2013/14, the ex-Dortmund Ciro Immobile scored his 19th goal of the season for Lazio. At Milan, the ailing storm star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was missing. The ex-Wolfsburg Victor Osimhen contributed a hit for Naples.
