Second division game in Innsbruck: fans set the roof of the Tivoli on fire

Strange incident in the 2nd division in Austria: During the game between Wacker Innsbruck and Austria Klagenfurt, part of the roof structure of the Tivoli Stadium caught fire. The reason for the fire were fans who shot fireworks into the stadium from outside.

The game initially continued, only when the fire brigade arrived in the 42nd minute and pushed through a stadium gate towards the field, the game was interrupted. The match between the fifth and fourth continued after a 17-minute break when the score was 2-0.

The German national team will be visiting Tivoli on June 2nd. The selection of national coach Joachim Löw will contest the first European Championship test against Denmark in Innsbruck. The DFB announced this after a presidium decision on Friday.
