In addition to coach Peter Stöger, Christoph Monschein and Manprit Sarkaria, two other players could leave FK Austria Vienna next summer. The LASK apparently snatched away two kickers from the league competitor this time.
Sarkaria will play in the storm jersey in the future, Monschein’s move to Linz seems already fixed. Now LASK has probably also put out feelers to Benedikt Pichler and Patrick Wimmer, they report Upper Austria news.
Pichler played 24 compulsory games in the current season and posted eight goals and seven assists. Wimmer even showed his skills in 29 games across all competitions. His result: two hits and five assists.
While Pichler’s contract runs until 2023, Wimmer is available for free from 2022. Should the changes take place in the summer of this year and the situation around the club stabilize again, Austria will at least be able to get a transfer. In the worst-case scenario of forced relegation, however, it is also conceivable that both players could leave the club for free.
