Not least with his sensational brace against Red Bull Salzburg, WSG striker Nikolai Baden Frederiksen targeted the competition. Rapid trainer Dietmar Kühbauer openly raves about the Dane.
The 20-year-old attacking player from Juventus Turin will be loaned to WSG Tirol until the summer.
A loan deal that has so far more than paid off: Frederiksen has already scored 14 goals for the Tyroleans in 25 games. In the summer, Frederiksen will return to Turin – how things will then continue is not clear.
“An incredibly good player,” enthuses Rapid trainer Dietmar Kühbauer in the crown of the WSG attacker. “But it wasn’t just us who noticed him.” Augsburg and Wolfsburg are also associated with Frederiksen – huge competition for Rapid.
But Kühbauer is not annoyed. After all, “we have Ercan Kara,” says the rapid coach.
