The Qatar Grand Prix opens this Sunday the season of Motorcycle World Championship 2021. After a 2020 marked by the coronavirus pandemic and the capacity and mobility restrictions derived from it, the MotoGP World Championship returns with two consecutive races at the same circuit, in Losail. The championship starts with the great absence of the Spanish Marc Márquez. The Repsol Honda rider misses the start of the competition to complete the recovery of his right humerus before returning to competition after a year off. The MotoGP race begins at 7:00 p.m. Spanish time with a grid headed by the Italian Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, who in qualifying achieved the best time (1m, 51.722s) and his first pole position in the category. Yamaha riders Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Viñales complete the front row at Losail.
