PSV Eindhoven: Roger Schmidt wants to stay

Roger Schmidt has guaranteed that he will stay with PSV Eindhoven. “I didn’t come here for a year,” said the 54-year-old coach on Friday from Telegraaf quoted.

Schmidt was most recently traded as the new head coach and successor to Adi Hütter (to Borussia Mönchengladbach), especially at Eintracht Frankfurt.

A two-year collaboration has been agreed, according to Schmidt, “minimal. I’m looking to the coming season and hope to be active with the team in the Champions League”.

In football you always have to live with rumors, especially at the end of your season. “There is nothing I can do about that,” emphasized Schmidt, who was in charge of Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen from 2014 to 2017. He has been PSV coach for more than a year.
