PSG lose to Kellerkind Nantes and miss out on top of the table

With an embarrassing home bankruptcy, Paris St. Germain has given up the great opportunity to take the lead in the battle for the French championship for the first time since January 31st. The title holder of the past three years lost on Sunday evening despite the lead by Julian Draxler (42nd) 1: 2 against the relegation-threatened FC Nantes.

Paris could not use the mistake of Olympique Lille. The leader of the table had previously not made it past 0-0 at AS Monaco with former Bayern coach Niko Kovac. Lille continues to lead the ranking with three points ahead of the Parisians and Olympique Lyon.

After Draxler’s lead, everything looked like a home win for the big favorite. But of all things, star striker Kylian Mbappe initiated the bankruptcy. The world champion made a bad pass in his own penalty area in the 59th minute. Kolo Muani accepted the gift and met to compensate. Twelve minutes later, Moses Simon scored the winning goal for the guests, who improved to 18th place in the table.
