Premier League: Arsenal support for Tuchel and Co. through an own goal double

Thanks to two own goals and a high level of morale, national goalkeeper Bernd Leno and the English cup winners FC Arsenal preserved their small European Cup chance. The Gunners achieved a 3: 3 (1: 3) in Champions League candidate West Ham United despite a 3-0 deficit after 32 minutes and thus kept the seven-point deficit on the hosts.

At the same time, Arsenal provided support to Chelsea FC and German coach Thomas Tuchel in the race for the Champions League ranks. Due to the playful victory, the Hammers missed the chance of a tie with the fourth-placed Blues and ranked two points behind the team from Stamford Bridge.

West Ham started furiously and with hits Jesse Lingard (15th), Jarrod Bowen (17th) and Tomas Soucek (32nd) seemed to be on the winning road. Before the break, however, Soucek also hit in the wrong direction (38th) and thus initiated the chase for the guests. 16 minutes after the break, Craig Dawson made the same mishap as Soucek, before Alexandre Lacazette (82nd) managed to equalize and he expanded Arsenal’s streak to four league games without defeat.
