On March 31, Peter Stöger, whose contract expires in summer 2021, planned to announce his decision on a future cooperation with FK Austria Wien. This deadline is now postponed until after Easter because “there is still a lot to be clarified for the decision-making process. I would like to say clearly: It is not my turn to wait for what Austria is planning.”
Stöger therefore continues to tolerate a final discussion with the club officials, in which it should become clear what the framework conditions look like, what goals the Violettes are setting themselves for the coming season, how the club is structurally positioned and how much budget is available.
Stöger gives Austria “leeway” until after Easter. “They get enough time from me, it’s not about the details of my contract, but about what the purple future looks like. I would have liked to have clarified this before the qualifying round starts,” quoted the Crown the 54-year-old. Why is Stöger postponing his due date? “The club is close to my heart,” emphasized the master maker from 2013.
Markus Kraetschmer’s personality also remains unclear for the time being. Most recently, the “Veilchen” expanded their board with Gerhard Krisch.
