Red Bull Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch is said to be facing a move to Leipzig. The media reported unanimously on Wednesday. Will striker Patson Daka follow suit?
As the Italian journalist Nicolò Schira reports, RB Leipzig is working on signing Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka. Leipzig is said to have presented Daka with a five-year contract.
It was only last summer that Bundesliga club Hee-chan brought Hwang for nine million euros from Salzburg, and the South Korean has been waiting for his first league goal ever since.
Daka can usually serve with goals. The 22-year-old scored 24 goals in 23 Bundesliga games this season and scored every 69 minutes – a spectacular figure. Daka has recently been associated with clubs from England, including Liverpool FC.
Should Daka’s path lead to Leipzig, the striker would join a long list. Numerous people from Salzburg have already moved to Saxony.
Most recently, Daka consultant Frederic Kanoute also emphasized Sky-Interview the change intention of his client: “It is time for a new challenge. We will sit down with the interested clubs and make the right decision. He will not change just to change.”
