Manchester United’s Paul Pogba: “I don’t know how to pull apart”

Manchester United can hope for their second success in the Europa League after their 6: 2 (1: 2) goal frenzy (the goals in the video!) In the semi-final first leg against AS Roma. Superstar Paul Pogba (28) was responsible for one goal. He then spoke openly about a weak point in his game.

With a score of 1-0 for the Red Devils, Pogba caused a hand penalty in the 13th minute when he tried to prevent a cross just before the goal line, slipped and finally saved the ball with his hand. Lorenzo Pellegrini converted the penalty to equalize.

Pogba’s mistake was probably without consequences in the end. With five goals in the second half United secured a brilliant starting position for the second leg, the Frenchman himself scored 5-2 (75th).

Then he talked about the penalty. “Just don’t slide,” he said of his action. “I don’t even know how to tackle – why should I tackle too? That’s my problem. I try the tackle like a typical English person.”

Pogba stated that he had to practice tackling without arms more: “That was just bad luck. I’ve had a lot of bad luck with penalties this season.” The second leg in Rome will take place next Thursday (May 6th).
