Karim Benzema again match winner for Real Madrid

Thanks to Torgarant Karim Benzema, champions Real Madrid remain in the race to successfully defend their title. The 33-year-old scored his second brace in a row in the 3-1 (2-1) away win against Celta Vigo and thus scored in his fifth league game in a row.

With 60 points, Real are still behind leaders Atletico Madrid (63), who will host relegation candidate Deportivo Alaves on Sunday (6.30 p.m.). FC Barcelona (59) can also top it up in San Sebastian on Sunday.

Benzema initially used a dream pass from Toni Kroos to take the lead (20th), before he grabbed the game device after Kroos won the ball and heaved it into the net (30th). Santiago Mina Lorenzo (40th) shortened for Vigo before Marco Asensio made everything clear in stoppage time (90th + 4).

Last week Real had won 2-1 thanks to a brace from Benzema, at that time against FC Elche.
