After the Bundesliga home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Joshua Kimmich commented Sky on the discussions about Hansi Flick and his situation at Bayern Munich – and pleaded for Flick as the next national coach of the DFB team.
“There has always been an unnecessary discussion, even though we played successful football,” said Kimmich, who made the championship almost perfect for Bayern with his 2-0 goal against Leverkusen.
Following the win against third-placed VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday, Hansi Flick announced that he had asked FC Bayern Munich to terminate his contract. “You expected it somewhere,” commented Kimmich.
Now Flick comes into question for the vacant national coach post after the EM 2021. Kimmich would be happy: “Now I hope when it comes to that in the summer that he will take over at the DFB.”
