National coach Joachim Löw wants to deal with a possible return of Thomas Müller to the national team in the coming week. He explained that in an interview with on Wednesday evening Sky in the half-time break of the Champions League game between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
“From next week we will do it again to analyze everything that was what the team needs. And then we will make a decision,” said Löw when asked if there were any arguments against a return from Thomas Müller. Müller played his last international match in November 2018, and since then there have been repeated calls for the Bayern striker to be nominated again.
“I already have some things in my head,” Loew continued and added: “We are thinking about it now and then the decisive factor will be: What is the best overall for this team to be successful in the tournament?”
In addition, Löw expressed himself about a resignation before the EM 2021. After the 1: 2 defeat in the World Cup qualification against North Macedonia, Löw came under criticism again. So far, he has not given it any thought: “We have our plan and the team showed a lot in the first two games,” said Löw.
