Jesse Marsch will not be able to leave Red Bull Salzburg without the club’s consent. As the 47-year-old confirmed, he has no release clause.
Exit clauses have recently been a dominant issue in the coaching business. First Gladbach coach Marco Rose used his clause to switch to BVB in the summer, then Eintracht coach Adi Hütter followed suit to move to Gladbach for 7.5 million euros at the end of the season.
Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch, who was most recently associated with Bayer Leverkusen, has no release clause. Marsch has now confirmed itself – his working paper will run until summer 2022, so a transfer fee would have to be negotiated in the event of a departure.
“It’s crazy to think about how expensive Adi Hütter is – but he’s a great coach,” marches in astonishment – Hütter is now the most expensive coach in the Bundesliga. “Maybe this is the way forward – I don’t know,” says Marsch Clauses interesting, but also says: “I said last week that my goal is not to leave here.”
