Bundesliga club Hertha BSC will continue to rely on the services of goalkeeper Rune Jarstein in the future. The club extended the expiring in summer with the 36-year-old Norwegian until 2023.
Jarstein has been playing for Berlin since January 2014 and has so far played 179 competitive games for Hertha.
“Rune is an important part of our team. Not only on the pitch, but also off. With his experience and his position in the team, he is extremely important to us,” said sports director Arne Friedrich.
Jarstein will no longer be used in the current season due to the consequences of a corona infection.
