Florian Kohfeldt remains Werder Bremen’s coach. That was decided by the club after the unfortunate 2-1 defeat after extra time in the cup semi-final against RB Leipzig.
“Florian will of course remain a trainer. That is very clear,” said managing director Frank Baumann on ARD: “After seven defeats in a row in the Bundesliga, we naturally had to analyze how we could free ourselves from the downward spiral,” said Baumann: “We saw a completely different face today.”
Bremen recently suffered seven defeats in the Bundesliga and must fear relegation. The game against Leipzig had been declared the final for Kohfeldt.
