Fernando Torres ended his active career in the summer of 2019, now the 37-year-old has announced that he wants to return.
“I only understand life one way: playing. That’s why I decided to come back,” wrote the Spaniard Instagram: “This Friday I’ll let you know where we’re going.”
Torres experienced his most successful time at his youth club Atletico Madrid. There the right-footed player played his way into the European focus and moved to Liverpool FC in the summer of 2007 for 38 million euros.
Torres returned to the Rojiblancos in 2015 via Chelsea and AC Milan. Three years later he moved to Sagan Tosu, where he let his career end. With the Spanish national team (110 international matches, 38 goals) Torres was once world and twice European champion.
