FC Bayern apparently wants to extend the contract with youngster Josip Stanisic, which expires at the end of the season. According to the Munich evening newspaper Corresponding discussions have already taken place, both sides are very satisfied with the development of the defensive all-rounder.
The 21-year-old made his Bundesliga debut against Union Berlin (1-1) and played on Munich’s left defense for over 90 minutes. Stanisic was in the professional squad in the last four games of the professionals, but he was not used against Wolfsburg, Leverkusen and PSG.
Previously, he played as a right-back for the FCB amateurs (21 games in the current season), but can also play in central defense. Stanisic, who once played for the German U19 national team, has been active for FC Bayern since 2017.
From Stanisic’s point of view, it would be important that the second representation of the Munich team remains in the third division so that it can continue to collect match practice at professional level there in the future. Currently, the small Bayern are in 16th place, tied with 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which is on the first relegation place.
