For the first time since he suffered a torn muscle bundle in December, Tanguy Nianzou took part in a team training session at FC Bayern Munich. There the French seemed “overjoyed”, as the Bavarians announced on their homepage.
Nianzou has so far only played one competitive game over 21 minutes after his much-discussed free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to the German record champions due to two serious muscle injuries.
This is one of the reasons why PSG sports director recently took over against the 18-year-old central defender. This had turned down a contract extension in Paris in favor of Bavaria. “Tanguy played with us in the Champions League and he spent almost a year at Bayern Munich without playing,” said Leonardo at the radio station France Bleu Paris, but without going into Nianzou’s injuries.
Most recently, a return of the defensive jewel to Bayern’s team training was delayed on the advice of the medical department, which Nianzou only assigned light running units. “Tanguy is one of the greatest talents of his year, unfortunately he sustained two complicated injuries. Now our experts are very careful to build him up,” said Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, explaining what happened in February picture-Newspaper.
Nianzou signed a contract with FCB in the summer until 2024 and when it comes to Salihamidzic, he will most certainly prevail in the future if there are no injuries: “We will still have a lot of fun with him.”
