At FC Bayern, the squad planning for the coming season is in full swing. Several service providers are to extend their contract in Munich. Two newcomers could meanwhile leave the record champions again.
That reports the kicker. According to the trade journal, contract talks are planned with Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the near future. The working papers of the sextet will not expire until 2023.
The trio around the younger players, i.e. Kimmich, Gnabry and Coman, should be at the top of Bayern’s priority list. Board member Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic will play a central role. As with Julian Nagelsmann’s commitment, the contract negotiations are the responsibility of the two former players.
The contract of Leon Goretzka, whose contract will expire in 2022, i.e. at the end of the coming season, is also to be extended. Niklas Süle, whose contract is also only valid until 2022, could get a new chance under Julian Nagelsmann, who once helped the central defender to break through in Hoffenheim.
Corentin Tolisso, the third player with an expiring contract in 2022, is apparently not meant to be held. Selling the French, however, could prove difficult. The midfielder has been suffering from a tendon tear since February.
FC Bayern Munich: Future of Sarr and Roca open
In the case of Sarr and Roca, the joint analysis by Kahn and Salihamidzic is decisive. Meanwhile, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting has significantly better chances of staying. The attacker’s contract is to be extended by one year.
