Offensive man Douglas Costa will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The Brazilian, who is on loan from Juventus Turin for one season to the German record champions, returns according to information from SPOX and goal back to the old lady.
Even in Piedmont, Costa has no long-term future, the Italian leader is looking for a buyer for the 30-year-old, whose contract is still valid until 2022. Most recently, the Brazilian first division club Gremio Porto Alegre was linked with Costa, but discussions have not yet taken place.
Costa had hired for the second time in his career in the Bavarian capital at the beginning of October and thus shortly before the transfer window closed (initially from 2015 to 2017). However, the wing player could not convince, under coach Hansi Flick he never got beyond the role of reservist – also because he was confronted with high-profile competitors such as Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman.
In 22 competitive appearances, Costa only contributed one goal and three assists. He has been suffering from a hairline crack in his foot since mid-February.
