Because Heiko Vogel, coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach II, behaved unsportsmanlike, the former Sturm Graz coach has to lead six training sessions of a women’s or girls’ team.

There is an extraordinary punishment in German football.

Because Heiko Vogel, coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s second team (Regionalliga West), behaved unsportingly towards referee Marcel Benkhoff and his assistants Vanessa Arlt and Nadine Westerhoff in the game against Bergisch Gladbach, sanctions from the West German Football Association are hailing.

Specifically: Vogel has to serve a penalty of two games, pay 1,500 euros and lead six training sessions for a women’s or girls’ team by June 30th.
