Ex-Rapidler Stefan Stangl changes from Türkgücü to Wehen Wiesbaden

SV Wehen Wiesbaden has signed Stefan Stangl. The 29-year-old left-back is moving from league rivals Türkgücü Munich to SVWW for the new season and signs a one-year contract.

The 29-year-old has played 16 games in the third division for Türkgücü this season. Wehen Wiesbaden is nine points ahead of Munich in the table.

“Stefan Stangl is a very strong left-back defender who also has high qualities in the build-up and transition game,” said SVWW sporting director Christian Hock. “In addition to his experience, he has a high degree of speed, cleverness and a healthy duel.”

“The SVWW is a very professionally run club and I quickly had a good feeling in the talks,” says Stangl of his new club. “The team has a lot of potential and the SVWW is very ambitious. I would like to do my part to ensure that the sporting goals are achieved.”

Stangl played in Austria for SK Sturm, Rapid, Red Bull Salzburg, Wiener Austria and SKN St. Pölten, among others.
