Ex-Rapid goalkeeper Tobias Knoflach has been without a club since last summer. Rapid coach Dietmar Kühbauer is now sharply critical of the keeper’s management.
Ex-Rapid goalie Tobias Knoflach has been looking for a club since summer 2020. At that time, the now 27-year-old from Hütteldorf said goodbye – without finding a job with a new club.
The last competitive game of the Viennese dated July 1, 2020 against LASK. A difficult situation that Rapid trainer Dietmar Kühbauer also draws attention to.
“Knofi gambled. The manager promised him everything, but nuts happened”, Kühbauer takes his ex-player’s adviser to duty and indicates that it failed due to financial reasons – Knoflach turned down the SK Rapid contract offer at the time to force a move abroad.
“We really wanted to keep him and made him an offer. Unfortunately Tobias decided to take a different path,” said sports director Zoran Barisic at the time.
