At the DFB, a complete upheaval in the management floor is becoming more and more likely. According to SID information, treasurer Stephan Osnabrügge will no longer stand for re-election at the next DFB Bundestag.
The 50-year-old announced this at the conference of regional and state associations last weekend. A short time later, the sovereign princes gave him a narrow majority for the remainder of the term of office.
Osnabrügge will probably not be the only member of the management team to leave the DFB. Secretary General Friedrich Curtius had indirectly offered his departure on Monday after the conference’s vote of no confidence. For President Fritz Keller, after his case has been handed over to the sports court, resignation seems inevitable.
This means that only Vice President Rainer Koch is likely to remain from the previous top management. According to SID information, the 62-year-old is not thinking about withdrawing. The sovereigns had given Koch last weekend with a narrow majority of confidence, but the league representatives are quite critical of him.
