Joachim Löw trusts national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, despite his advanced age, a long career.
“He can still play at the same level for a few more years,” said Löw about his captain before the World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening (8.45pm in the live ticker) in Romania.
Neuer, who turned 35 on Saturday, is about to make his 98th appearance in the senior national team. “He has had an incredible career. He looks extremely well-trained, extremely fit,” said Löw, adding: “A goalkeeper can play longer than an outfield player anyway.” Neuer is still “hungry for titles” and has “big goals”.
