MAY 6, 2025 — The world of professional cycling bid farewell to one of its fastest and most beloved riders today, as Australian sprint sensation Caleb Ewan announced his retirement at the age of 30. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Ewan reflected on a career defined by explosive speed, resilience, and an unwavering passion for the sport.
Known as the “Pocket Rocket” for his diminutive frame and powerful sprinting style, Ewan leaves behind an indelible mark on global cycling. Over his 11-year professional career, he amassed an impressive 65 victories, including stage wins in all three Grand Tours—the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a España.
