BVB has apparently knocked on the former FC Barcelona star Xavi Hernandez (41) looking for a head coach. That reports the AS.
According to the report, BVB asked about the availability of the Spaniard, who has been the head coach of the Qatari first division club Al-Sadd SC since summer 2019.
However, he turned down the Dortmund offer, just like an offer from the Brazilian association, which Xavi would have liked to have head coach Tite as an assistant at his side.
The only two clubs that should be considered for Xavi are his current club Al-Sadd and FC Barcelona, it is said. At Barca, Ronaldo Koeman is about to end after just one season.
Xavi recently extended his contract with the reigning Qatari champions and cup winners until 2023. Marco Rose will be the new coach at BVB from the summer, taking over from Edin Terzic.
