Max Kruse could make his comeback for Union Berlin at the weekend after a long injury.
Trainer Urs Fischer announced on Thursday that the offensive man would be available for the away game on Saturday (3.30 p.m. in LIVETICKER) at his ex-club SC Freiburg. “It would be possible,” said the Swiss about a squad place for Kruse.
The former national player tore a muscle bundle in the derby at Hertha BSC (1: 3) at the beginning of December and has since been out. After moving from Fenerbahce Istanbul to Union last summer, the 32-year-old had a strong start to the season. In ten games of the season he scored six goals and put on five hits until his injury.
