Bayern Munich: Alphonso Davies suspended for two games

Full-back Alphonso Davies from record champions Bayern Munich has been suspended for two games after his red card in the 4-0 win against VfB Stuttgart. The German Football Association (DFB) announced on Monday. The Canadian had already been sent off in the twelfth minute for gross foul play after video evidence.

The 20-year-old and the club have agreed to the ruling. Davies will be missing in the team of coach Hansi Flick like the yellow-banned Jerome Boateng in the top game against pursuers RB Leipzig. Davies hums the second game of his suspension against Union Berlin.

For Davies it was the second expulsion in the 52nd Bundesliga game. On the 32nd matchday of last season he saw the yellow-red card in Bremen in the 79th minute.
