An English team considers leaving the Superliga after pressure from the Premier League

The six Premier League teams registered in the Super League.

According to The Times, one of the six English teams that are among the twelve founders of the Super League is thinking of backing down in its decision to be part of the new continental competition.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are the six Premier League teams that would be part of the Super League, but the huge rejection that the new competition has suffered, as well as some threats from UEFA towards the clubs and players that the dispute could be making one of the team consider taking a step back.

The Premier League, as well as FIFA and UEFA have issued separate statements condemning the Super League proposal and ensuring that measures will be taken against its members. Although UEFA itself has left the door open to those clubs that want to change their minds and leave the new competition to return to their current situation, under the protection of the European organization and the British league.

The name of the team that is considering this possibility has not been revealed, many fans from different clubs have shown their dissatisfaction in a very notable way. Even so, Florentino Pérez made it clear in El Chiringuito that no team is going to leave because everyone is going to negotiate together, although he admitted that the Premier League is the competition that is pressing the most. “The English are the most angry because anyone can think that the Premier League is going to disappear. Those who do not want to lose their privileges are the ones who say that ”, commented the president of Real Madrid and visible head of the Super League.
