Jules Koundé has debuted as a new player of the FC Barcelona in his first training with the group. The French central defender, who was presented last Monday, had not had the opportunity to meet his new teammates until this very Wednesday, after Xavi grant the squad two and a half days of party after returning last Sunday from the tour of the USA.
The training anecdote came just before the session started. When the players jump onto the pitch, Jordi Alba took from behind Koundé and melted into a hug with the Frenchman. The gesture would not happen to adults if it were not because both starred in an incident in the last Seville-Barçaplayed on December 21, and which ended with the expulsion of the then central Sevilla player after hitting the Barça side with a ball.
The play occurred in a dispute over a ball that ended up going out the side and in which the Blaugrana also participated Gavi. A Koundé Alba’s charge on the wing did not sit well with him and he responded by throwing the ball in his face. Referee Del Cerro Grande did not hesitate for a second and showed him the red card, with which the Frenchman left his team with one less for the last 26 minutes of the match. The match ended in a draw (1-1), thanks to goals from Papu Gómez (32′) and Ronald Araujo (45′).

After the anecdote carried out with Jordi Alba, Koundé paid the toll of the ‘rookie‘ and submitted to the usual hall of slaps from his new companions.
