Just two days after leaving SSC Napoli, Gennaro Gattuso (43) has already hired a new club: The 2006 world champion is moving within Serie A to Fiorentina, the club of the former Bayern star Franck Ribery. The Fiorentina announced on Tuesday.
Gattuso replaces Giuseppe Iachini at the Tuscan association. He had replaced Cesare Prandelli, who had surprisingly resigned, in March and subsequently secured relegation.
Gattuso took over from ex-Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti in Naples in December 2019. With Napoli, he missed qualifying for the Champions League last Sunday.
