Third division Dynamo Dresden reacted to the team’s negative streak and put coach Markus Kauczinski on leave with immediate effect. After the 3-0 defeat at home against Halleschen FC on Saturday, the club is only in fourth place, the club’s management sees the season’s goal of returning to the second division in jeopardy.
“This decision was really not an easy one for us, but we wanted to set new impulses in the most important phase of the season in order to achieve our goal,” said Sports Director Ralf Becker.
The two assistant coaches Heiko Scholz and Ferydoon Zandi lead the training sessions on Sunday. Kauczinski took over the position of head coach at Dynamo Dresden in December 2019 and signed a contract until June 2021.
