2nd league: Karlsruher SC missed promotion places with a draw against Aue

The Karlsruher SC will have to finally bury their already low hopes for promotion. In the catch-up game of the 29th matchday of the 2nd division, the Baden against Erzgebirge Aue at home did not go beyond a 0-0.

After the fifth draw in the last six games, the KSC are seven points behind relegation place three with five games still outstanding.

The Saxons had already secured relegation before the kick-off. With 41 points, they are still in the middle of the field.

In an uneventful game, Pascal Testroet had the first chance for the guests with his head (5th). On the other side, Kyoung-Rok Choi failed with a flick to keeper Philipp Klewin (13th).

The home side were more active in the second half. After a bad pass from John-Patrick Strauss, Klewin was also there against substitute Benjamin Goller (48th), Philipp Riese missed the greatest chance for Aue with a free kick shortly before the end.
